How it began
Dukanam started close to home. Watching my father and brother run their shops made the problem concrete: plenty of stock to manage, but software that demanded accounting knowledge and a computer. I wanted to simplify that work and make the solution affordable for all shops.

A shopkeeper needs to know what is in stock, what sold, and what customers owe across the shop and its godowns. If answering those questions requires accounting expertise and a desktop computer, the software becomes another job to manage.
What it does
Dukanam connects counter billing, inventory, purchases, customer balances, and payment tracking. A multilingual interface and web and mobile access make routine work easier to reach, while GST-aware invoices and reporting are available as a business needs them.
